The Prague Castles are the largest group of Castles of the world and the most toured point by the travelers. Built in 9th century underwent reconstructions in 16 th century .Prague castle has had four major reconstructions, but it keeps its classical facelift it took on in the 18 century during the reign of Maria Theresa.

The castle has three courtyards and it has always been the seat of Czech rulers as well as the official residence. Allow at least half a day (it does not include time for museum visits) if you want to examine it in depth.

After World War I, the interior and gardens of Prague Castle were renovated by the architect J. Plecnik.

Today, Prague Castle is the seat of the President of the Czech Republic and serves as the historical and political centre for both city and state.
